On July 17-18, Kreyatif.org will be offering a professional development workshop that will examine the use of creativity in the classroom and will provide you with new teaching resources. During this two day workshop, you will learn:
- Why it is important for young minds to experience the creative process.
- Strategies for integrating creative learning in the classroom.
- How to know if your students are catching on.
- Hands on practice with a number of creative activities for your students.
We will also be joined by Souerette Rigoden, Deputy Director of the Lidè Foundation. She will provide an overview on how the arts create multiple dimensions of learning in the classroom.
Each teacher who participates in the program will be presented with a certificate of completion.
Haitian teachers that are working with students in 1st-6th grade are welcome to join us. All of the workshops and supporting materials will be taught in Haitian Creole.
