Dear Haitian Teachers,
You are invited to join us in July for two events that are designed to share ideas on the creative learning process in the classroom. A team will traveling down from the US to administer the workshop, but it will be your feedback and insights that will make this a fantastic week!
Based on what is learned from these events, we intend to launch the content on this website. The website will be a place where every Haitian teacher can find free creative challenges to use in the classroom.
Professional Development Workshop
July 17-18, 2017
In this interactive workshop for teachers, we are going to cover:
- Why it is important for young minds to experience the creative process.
- Strategies for integrating creative learning in the classroom.
- How to know if your students are catching on.
- Hands on practice with a number of fun activities for your students.
A certificate is being offered for teachers who complete this workshop.
July 19-20, 2017
Using the information we learned in the teacher workshop, we are going to practice what we learned on a group of 150 students from Jehovah Nissi School and Institution Mixte Frère Silar. The teachers will lead the students in a series of creative challenges that involve engineering, the arts, acting, and other fun activities.
Your school administrators (Jean Philippe and Pastor Silar) will send you more details on transportation, time, and location as the event draws near. We are very excited to learn with you this summer and to put on a fun event for the students.
